Italian Jobs Tours
The Romagna Region comprises the towns of Rimini, Ravenna and Forli-Cesena, and originally formed a significant part of the Old Tuscan Empire up to1920. Nowadays it has turned into Emilia-Romagna, and its largest city is Bologna, followed by nearby Modena and Maranello, which are most commonly known for housing the Ferrari and Ducati Factories. So, it is unsurprising that this place has nurtured a passion for speed and is home to the race tracks of ‘Santamonica’ in Misano and ‘Ferrari’ in Imola.
Emilia-Romagna is located in the central North East part of Italy on the Adriatic Coast. The town of Cesenatico is situated on the coast itself and is as famous for its canal harbour designed by Leonardo Da Vinci as for its prized status as the capital of road and mountain biking. Every year, the town hosts the “Nove Colli” or ‘Nine hills’ long distance touring cycle event which follows a challenging 200 km route through the beautiful countryside of Romanga.
This internationally renowned event has been running since 1970, in memory of the late Marco Pantani, the international cyclist who was born in this town and who joined the stable of only 7 riders in history, to win the ‘Giro d’Italia’ and ‘Tour de France’ in the very same year.
With sports and the great outdoors at the forefront of their minds, Italian Jobs Tours consultants, Andrea and Simone have set about creating package holidays geared towards the more active traveller, involving sporting activities like cycling, mountain biking, soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, athletics, gym and fitness training and golf. No less complete is the range of water sports offered, including sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing and water-skiing. And of course every package is complemented by the many wine and food tasting opportunities which abound in this verdant and hilly province which is so rich in viticultural and agricultural development.
